In Tarot world, most readers don't associate themselves with Queen of Swords since the is the queen that has strong intellectual mind and little is often mentioned about her intuition. Sometimes, I feel weird to be the lone one that associates myself with her, the one queen that no woman wants to be. Most women when asked (with some knowledge of tarot) would love to be like Queen of Wands or Queen of Pentacles or Queen of Cups.
Then things changed for me. The first deck that I can read with, Celtic Dragon, after a year of companionship and guardianship, the deck repeatedly me showed me many queens and the Empress for all my self-readings. It comes to a point that all of my self-readings have all the same 4 cards: Empress, Queen of Swords, Queen of Wands and Queen of Cups. I was honored but at the time, I was confused at the meaning. What did you try to tell me? Eventually, as I offer to read for others and I become more opened with people, I understand the message. Now, the deck gives me Queen of Cups for most of my messages with a sense of satisfaction and pride.
Now this is just right. Look at her. Is she scary? Threatening? No. I can't say this is a gift that I just received. I've always had an intellectual mind and I like to analyze things. Most things I do sometimes including relationship, I use a methodical approach. However, I have a big heart and I'm actually very compassionate. I just have a straightforward style of communication. Queen of Swords is wise, mostly from her learned (often painful) experiences and has a way with her honest words. That's how I associated with her.
